CARALL is pleased to announce that our 2021 conference and annual general meeting will be held on 11th-12th August 2021. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, this conference will take place online. We are also pleased to announce that the conference will be free to attend, however, there is limited space so please indicate your interest and book your space in advance. CARALL is grateful to sponsor vLex for their assistance in making this conference possible. In light of the impact of COVID- 19 on the world and in particular the Caribbean, we regret to inform you that our Annual Conference slated to be held in Guyana, from 20th -23rd July 2020, has been postponed to 25th - 29th October 2020. It is our 35th anniversary conference and the Executive is hopeful that by the end of summer we will start to recover as a region. By that time, based on members’ interest, it will be determined whether or not cancelling this year’s conference is more economically viable.
In the meantime, we urge that you continue to take all the necessary preventative measures. Please continue to listen to the updates from official sources, including the Ministry of Health and other authorized national agencies in your individual countries. As a reminder, if you or any member of your family experiences any of the symptoms of COVID-19, please follow the established protocols in your individual countries. We are happy to announce that the 35th Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting will be held in Guyana this year. Please check back at a later date for more information regarding the programme and registration for the conference.

The Chief Justice of Trinidad & Tobago, Justice Ivor Archie, spoke at the Opening Ceremony. He was quoted as saying "When I have to find the solution to a thorny legal question I would first ask a law librarian before I ask a lawyer. Because that's what you do best - research." .
